A Look at Local Rules
There are some local rules unique to our course:
Cart Paths, Service Roads, Rocky Areas and Flower Beds are all areas of free relief. You get a club length, no closer to the hole.
Sand traps can be played as ground under repair or if player chooses you can rake and place. See YouTube video “Rake and Place”.
Areas with woodchips are to be played as ground under repair.
Also, as with any other golf course the golf carts are to be 30′ away from the greens.
Hole #4
Hole #4 has out of bounds marked by white stakes and white markers attached to trees on the right-hand side of the fairway.
Hole #5
The safety fence located on the side of #7 tee box is played as an immovable obstruction.
When playing #5, per USGA rule 16.1, you are allowed 1 club length free relief if the fence interferes with your swing or stance.
NO line-of-sight relief toward #5 green is granted.
Hole #9, gravel service road on left side
This is to be played as you would a cart path.
This is also free relief, one club length, no closer to the hole.
Holes #15 & #16
This area has had recent utilities work and is to be played as “Ground Under Repair.”
You get free relief from ground under repair.
When dropping from ground under repair, you must take the nearest point of relief (stance) and one club length, no closer to the hole.
Tree Debris
The tree debris piles are to be considered temporary immovable obstructions. Players are granted complete relief from these areas without penalty. This includes line of sight relief to the hole. This is in effect until the debris is cleared. Debris that can be moved without extended effort must be moved by the player with no relief.
